Q. What is the Youth Sports Congress?
A. The Youth Sports Congress is a unique educational experience specifically focused on youth sports issues. This annual training is held within the Athletic Business Conference & Expo. This year NAYS will offer an additional track for those attendees who want to earn their Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA credential). The Academy for Youth Sports Administrators will be offered simultaneously to ensure that we meet the needs of all attendees.
Q. When and where is the Youth Sports Congress?
A. In 2010, the Youth Sports Congress will be held in San Diego, California at the San Diego Convention Center from December 1-4, 2010.
Q. What is included in the registration fee?
A. CONGRESS registration includes NAYS educational seminars, AB educational sessions, keynote sessions, early morning workouts, exhibit hall admission, CEU opportunities, receptions, plus more. Attendees are responsible for their own travel & lodging expenses. The ACADEMY registration is similar but attendees will participate in the Academy sessions along as well as the keynote sessions, early morning workouts, exhibit hall admission, CEU opportunities, receptions, etc.
Q. Where can I find travel information?
A. Information about accomodations and other travel related topics are available in the Venue Menu found on the left hand side of the screen.
Q. I want to earn Continuing Education Units for the sessions I attend. How do I do this?
A. When you register at the Congress, you will receive a CEU card, which lists each session. At the end of each session, the room monitor will stamp your book to verify your attendance. After the final session, the CEU cards will be collected and processed.
Q. What is the difference between the registration fees?
A. There are several categories under which to register, depending on which may be the best value for you.
CYSA Association member: This is for a CYSA who is a member of the CYSA Association.
Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA):This is for the professional who has completed the Academy for Youth Sports Administrators course offered by the NAYS.
General Public:This is for anyone who is not a CYSA but would like to attend the International Youth Sports Congress, at which you can earn valuable CEUs.
Q. Is there a cancellation policy?
A. If you need to cancel your registration, please submit your request in writing at least 2 weeks before the conference start date. You can transfer the registration to another delegate or request a refund. A $25 administrative fee will be deducted from transfers or refunds. For cancellations received on or after November 12, 2010, a $100 cancellation fee will apply.
