John Engh, chief operating officer for the National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS), recently sat down with Dr. Patrick J. Cohn and Lisa Cohn of Peak Performance Sports to discuss the launch of ShapeStuff mobile-Web technology as a newly designed NAYS member benefit.
Engh was a guest on The Ultimate Sports Parent podcast, an informational Web site provided by Peak Performance Sports.
The interview can be heard in its entirety here.
Engh explains how with ShapeStuff NAYS affiliated coaches now have an easy-to-use tool that enables them to create skill-building exercises for their players to use between practices. Coaches can quickly create short, customized skill-building programs on their computers.
Programs can contain any combination of video clips and interactive exercises supplied by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, as well as anything on their own computer – even personalized audio or video messages. A push of a button then sends the skill-building exercise to players’ personal computers, or even cellular phones.
NYSCA, NAYS’ volunteer coaches training program, has long been the world leader in youth sports education and certification with more than 2.5 million coaches trained throughout 3,500 communities worldwide.
