Steps to Offer On-site Trainings
Would you like to host one or more on-site trainings for your coaches, officials and/or parents? Below are the steps involved. Our Member Services staff will be there to guide you throughout the entire process.
Planning to exclusively offer Online Trainings? Just complete the Interest Form.
1 Appoint a lead representative - The lead representative serves as the primary contact for your organization. The lead representative is responsible for ensuring the organization conducts the training program in accordance with NAYS' procedural guidelines.
2 Complete the Interest Form - The form should be completed by the lead representative.
3 Review Reference Guide - Shortly after submitting the Interest Form you will receive an email with the requirements to host a training. The materials (a reference guide & agreement) are available online. Multiple representatives from your organization may complete the process required to host trainings.
4 Order training videos/DVDs, paperwork and Youth Sports Journals. Within a few weeks of your first training you will place an order for materials. Training materials are sent from NAYS Headquarters to the lead representative upon notification of a training date and number of expected participants. The training and membership fees for the first training must be prepaid in order for materials to be sent. [Example, ordering for 10 coaches at $20 per coach = $200.00]
5 Submit completed training forms to NAYS Headquarters for processing. You will be able to do this through your customized member organization account. Once training rosters are processed at NAYS Headquarters, we mail each participant their membership card. Training participants will now have access to all their membership benefits! Please note membership and each member's insurance benefits are only valid once training rosters and fees have been submitted by your organization and processed by NAYS Headquarters.
6 Maintain active status - Once you submit your training form after your first training, your NAYS Member Organization is fully active! To remain an active member you must run trainings yearly. Individual members must renew their membership yearly as well to remain active. They can do this by renewing online, through the mail, by calling our Member Services Department or through the Member Organization.
