Youth sports programs around the country continue being plagued by a shortage of officials, putting many seasons in peril and jeopardizing opportunities for kids to play the sports they love.
At our upcoming 21st annual Youth Sports Congress in Orlando, Fla., on Nov. 16-19, an important session – Youth Sports Officials: We NEED YOU! – will be led by Trenton Buchman, Gordie Wetmore, and Craig Oswald.
During the session they will explore ways to effectively and efficiently recruit, train, and evaluate youth sports officials. Attendees will come away from this session with proven strategies to ensure their youth sports officials are the best.
Attendees will learn how to:
•Identify essential traits that officials and referees must possess.
•Effectively and successfully recruit sports officials.
•Discuss the officials’ training continuum in-season and off-season.
