The NAYS Coach Training & Membership Program gives volunteer coaches a strong foundation in coaching, prepares them for their important responsibilities, as well as holds them accountable to a code of conduct defined by the NAYS Code of Ethics for Coaches.
The approximately three hour video-based training covers Coaching Youth Sports plus one sport.
The training can be completed online or by attending an on-site training hosted by a local NAYS Member Organization.
On-site Trainings
On-site trainings are hosted by a local NAYS Member Organization and allow for valuable interaction and discussion amongst coaches. A NAYS Member Organization is a local youth sports organization which has chosen to offer the NAYS Coach Training to its coaches. Over 3,000 Member Organizations exist in all 50 states and on U.S. military bases internationally. For instance, Parks & Recreation Departments, youth associations, Boys & Girls Clubs, Police Athletic Leagues and YMCAs may all be NAYS Member Organizations.
Online Trainings
The NAYS Coach online training features the same training content as the on-site trainings yet gives coaches the convenient ability to complete the training from their home or office computer at their own pace.
