Coaching Youth Ice Hockey Training

The NYSCA Coaching Youth Ice Hockey section is one of the most comprehensive resources for volunteer coaches involved in youth ice hockey programs.

During the sport-specific portion of the NYSCA training program ice hockey coaches view the Coaching Youth Ice Hockey training video, which focuses on how to go about teaching many of the key fundamentals of the game to youngsters. The video is designed to help you, regardless if you are new to the sport or have coached for many years, enhance both your knowledge and teaching skills so you are better prepared to help guide every player on your team to a safe, fun and rewarding experience.

To enrich your learning experience, the NYSCA Coaching Youth Ice Hockey section includes the use of video instruction for demonstrations. These live-action segments are unique to our program, and they provide you with the most effective and exciting way to learn. Topics covered in this video include:

Unlike other coaching courses where you are required to write your own notes and draw your own diagrams, NYSCA has done all the work for you! The manual that accompanies our online clinic is a valuable resource for coaches at any level.

The manual is printable in PDF format for enhanced graphics.
